AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Changer Lanes CDL Driving School was announced today as the winner of the 2022 Austin FC Dream Starter Competition presented by Q2 Holdings Inc., in conjunction with DivInc. Changing Lanes will receive $100,000 in funding to accelerate its entrepreneurial ventures through the Austin FC Dream Starter business initiative, which aims to fund Austin entrepreneurs from underrepresented groups.
“We are honored to announce that CDL Driving School at Changing Lanes is this year’s Dream Starter winner,” said Andy Loughnane, President of Austin FC. “This competition once again showcased Austin’s incredible entrepreneurial community, and we would like to thank Q2 and DivInc for their help in making this possible.”
Founded by Delbert Crawford in Austin, Texas, Changing Lanes CDL Driving School teaches people from a variety of backgrounds how to drive a commercial vehicle safely. The school’s training programs help its students, many of whom are unemployed, gain the skills necessary for commercial vehicle driving careers, changing the trajectory of their lives.
The $100,000 in Dream Starter funds will allow Changing Lanes to purchase an additional truck needed for commercial vehicle driver training, and allow them to provide more scholarships and expand additional training opportunities to more students.
“I am honored to be the recipient of this award,” said Crawford. “It represents all the hard work, people who believe in me, invest in me and cheer me on when I doubted and questioned myself and my dream. Hard work pays off.”
