1-18-2008 With the start of the 2008 season just days away,
Donnie Moran Racing announces two new sponsors who have came
aboard for 2008. Moran proudly welcomes: Race Camp Academy by
MasterSbilt Race Cars, and C&J Excavating.

Race Camp Academy is a new adventure of Keith and Tader Masters.
Starting in the summer of 2008, the camp
"for 14-20 year olds to experience
the thrills of working on and with real life race cars".

C&J Excavating, Inc. is located in
Decatur, IL. The company has been in business since 1997 serving
the area with earthwork, demolition, and trucking services.
New sponsorship is just one of the many exciting happenings for
Moran in 2008. The 2008 season will also be Donnie's 30th
season. I sat down with Donnie to talk about 2008 and to reflect on
the last 30 years. Over the last few months things have been
moving at a steady pace at Donnie Moran Racing. I asked Donnie to tell me a little about
the off season. "The off season is just about as much work as
racing season. We started out the off season by cleaning out the
hauler and doing a thorough check of the car we won at Lowe's
with for the final race of 2007. We also sent all of our motors
to Vic Hill for a complete check. Plenty of the days were also
spent with family, especially during the holidays. Both before
and after the holidays we where busy building a brand new car
for 2008. One of the highlights of the off season was taking my
boys, Brodie and Devin over to Muskingum County Speedway
(Donnie's home track) on November 18th to hot lap my car. It has
been a lot of time and work preparing for the start of the 2008
season." It sounds to me as if there was not much down time for Moran
in the off season. When I asked Donnie to comment on what we
should expect from the "Dirt Ripper" in 2008; he simply said "
no comment" however he did note the entire Donnie Moran Racing
team is excited for the 2008 season, with new sponsors and a
strong end to the 2007 season behind them. On that note I asked Donnie
to reflect back on the last 30 years. He told me: "there's to
much to tell, we could be hear for the next 30 years with that
story; however, there have been plenty of great memories and
accomplishments over the years". Overall Donnie seemed to be
ready for the start of the 2008 season. He did add that he would
like thank all of his family, friends, fans, and sponsors for
all the support of the last 30 years and there continued support
in 2008 and for years to come. For the most updated information
