Smithville, OH – Nationally known dirt Late Model racing superstar Donnie Moran of Dresden, OH and Xtreme Dirt Car Series president & owner Doug Bland will be both appearing live this Wednesday evening, June 18, on IN THE PITS radio on WAGE AM 1200 based in Leesbeurg, VA and also broadcast over the internet at: www.wage.com

Both Moran and Bland will be discussing the upcoming Xtreme Ohio Late Model Speedweek as well as a variety of other related topics with hosts Craig Murto, Larry O’Donohue and Boyd Long. The show airs from 6:00 – 7:00 PM EST.

Moran is currently competing on the Xtreme Dirt Car Series and is a former winner of the WORLD 100, THE DREAM, DIRT TRACK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP and the famed ELDORA MILLION to win race. During the 2003 racing so far Moran has made 22 starts, scored two feature wins with four top 5’s, 11 top tens and one fast time. Moran drives the QPI Tools/Eddie's Sunoco/Carrera Shocks/Sunoco Race Fuels/Donnie Moran Racing MasterSbilt Race Cars/Malcuit Racing Engines Chevrolet Monte Carlo #99. In Xtreme Dirt Car Series competition Moran currently resides in seventh in the national points standings. Moran’s father, Ronnie Moran, also owns Muskingum County Speedway which is part of the Ohio Late Model Speedweek.

Bland purchased the Xtreme Dirt Car Series, formerly known as the UDTRA Dirt Car Racing Series, earlier this year and serves as the series president.

The Xtreme Ohio Late Model Speedweek extravaganza kicks off on Thursday July 3 at the Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, OH followed by a July 4 holiday show at Raceway 7 in Conneaut, OH. July 5 will serve as a rain date. The next event will be held on Tuesday July 8 at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, OH with Sharon Speedway in Hartford, OH picking up the Wednesday July 9 date. The series will finish off at KC Raceway in Chillicothe, OH on Friday July 11 with Saturday July 12 reserved as a rain date.
